MANCHESTER UNITED HUMBLE ARSENAL

Arsenal who are the leaders of Barclays Premier League were humbled 4-0 by the chasers and champions Manchester United in their fifth round clash of the FA cup.The Gunners fell behind 3-0 in the half time.The Pandora box was opened by Wayne Rooney who headed in from close range and similarly Darren Fletcher headed off Gallas from the corner kick.Nani split through the Arsenal defense.Things went bad to worse for Arsenal when Emmanuel Eboue was sent off for a kick on Evra.Fletcher headed in a fourth in the 74th minute as United cruised through the second half, and Arsenal had no answer as they meekly bowed out of the competition.This is a humiliation for wenger and Arsenal.

ELANO DOES IT FOR MAN CITY

Manchester city won the FA cup third round match at Eastlands riding on a second half header from their Brazilian star Elano.The match itself was a low key affair and both West Ham and Manchester city struggled to get chances in front of the goal.The match was very dull and the combination of Elano and Martin petrov worked their way to only goal of the game.Petrov's 73rd-minute cross was headed against the post by Rolando Bianchi, but Elano was first to the rebound and his brave diving header sent City into a fourth round tie against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.The only interest in the game was for the hopefuls like Micah Richards and Upson to stake their claims for a place in England squad.
