GILLY BATS FOR PONTING

Adam Gilchrist has been in fine form of late but his captain Ponting is in the middle of a horrible run of form when compared to his own lofty standards. He has supported Ponting saying that the drama off the field in the Australian summer is as high as the drama on the field and this has started taking toll on him mentally.Australia have had a large off the field problems lately such as the tour of pakistan,Cricket Australia reluctant to allow its players into the IPL,harbhajan andrew symonds episode as well as Ponting himself is suffering from back spasms of late.He was off colour in the test series as well and just made a workman like century in the final test.He has been batting poorly in the one day series as well.

TAIT OUT INDEFINETLY

Australia and perhaps world's quickest bowler ShaunTait sprang a surprise today and he has announced that he is a sabbatical from the world of cricket.Tait announced that he was physically and emotionally exahusted and suffered from playing too much of international cricket.Tait played in the third test at Perth and he ended up as the weakest bowler of test match as even RP Singh and Ishant Sharma plundered him for runs.He pledged to root India out of Perth but now he finds himself rooted out of cricket. One wonders what the future holds for this talented Australian paceman. The Australian Cricket Board meanwhile has announced that Tait will be rehabilitated and will comeback stronger than ever.
