DJOKOVIC READY FOR SPOTLIGHT

Novak Djokovic has vowed to let his performance do the talking and focus on his performances on the court.He has had the distinction of breaking the duopoly of Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer who between them have appeared in the last 11 major finals and had won 13 of the last 14 grandslams with Safin winning one at the Australian Open.Djokovic's win in the finals over the unseeded Tsonga has catapulted him to the fame and glory and he has clearly become a favourite among the women.Hence Djokovic is clearly in the spotlight and must learn from Andre Agassi what happens when you lose your head.

DJOKOVIC REIGNS SUPREME

Serbian Novak Djokovic has won the Australian open Championship and he overcame stiff challenge from the unseeded Frenchman Jo Wilfred Tsonga 4-6 6-4 6-3 7-6 (7/2) in three hours and six minutes of intense physical battle.Tsonga played some breathtaking tennis to clinch the first set.It looked like the Frenchman would add Djokovic to his list which already has Nadal and Andy Murray.Djokovic showed his class and strategy by playing the waiting game and Frenchman got tired.He played error filled strokes and Djokovic capitalized to win the next three sets.This is his first grandslam triumph and the eigth ATP title overall.

MURRAY OUT OF THE AUSSIE OPEN

Andy Murray has become the first seeded casualty of the Australian Open today.He has suffered a shocking first round loss to the French player Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 6-4 0-6 7-6 (7-5) in a shock first-round loss.This has shocked all the British tennis fans since Andy Murray is the main player they look upto in the grandslam competitions.Andy Roddick on the other hand marched through to the second round with a 6-3,6-4,7-5 victory over Lukas Dloughy an unseeded player.Roddick fired in 13 aces and finished the match in just 98 minutes.For all the latest Aussie open news just keep up with this blog and visit it regularly.
