Kevin Keegan has revealed that he has failed to lure Jonathon Woodgate to Newcastle.The 28 year old was given permission by club manager Gareth Southgate to talk to other clubs.Newcastle and Tottenham were thought to be the clubs in the hunt for the talented defender.It must be recalled that Woodgate played for Newcastle before he was lured into Real Madrid where he was plagued by injuries.Keegan also said that Shearer's role in Newcastle will be decided on Monday.Keegan expects Shearer to be one of the primary backroom staff in an attempt to regain the club's lost glory.
