The third seed becomes the fourth successive Spaniard to win the trophy in Bastad. David Ferrer, whom Robredo knocked out in the semi-finals, emerged victorious last year while Rafael Nadal claimed the 2005 crown.
A three-time semi-finalist at the Swedish Open, Robredo used his second break of the match to take a 4-3 lead in the opener which allowed him to keep his nose in front for the rest of the set.
Robredo then broke his Czech opponent three times in the second set on his way to his sixth career ATP title and first since Metz last year.
A finalist in Bastad in 2005, Berdych had to battle through injury in his first final appearance since last year at Halle.
After the sixth game of the first set, Berdych had his right knee treated and taped by a trainer.
