Amy Friedrich is all set to be recalled and he is set to play in the German defense. Per Mertsacker and Metzelder impressed along with Lahm in German defence over their 2-0 win over Poland but Marcell Jansen was not so impressive. So he is to be repalaced by Friedrich who was a first team player for the national team during the Euro 2004 and also in the World cup.
